Yesterday the twins turned 9 months old. They continue to do very well.
Emma crawls when she needs to get somewhere. She does not go very far though which is a good thing for now. Earlier on in the week we had them outside on one of our large furniture covers that we bought to protect the leather on the lounge furniture when the cats were small. Emma did not crawl off the cover as she didn’t like the feel of the grass.
We also had a pool net installed this week, so now together with the fence we put up last year it is now fully child proof. We are still very much beginners at putting the net on and taking it off the pool.
Dylan is starting to get more active. He really crawls. His coordination isn't quite right yet so with a concerted effort and some hopping he makes it 10cm forward in five minutes. They don’t call it crawling for nothing. Otherwise he is very content. He likes to take it easy. Emma is the exact opposite. She is very busy.
She is pulling herself up at every given opportunity. She can now pull herself up and then hold on with one hand and get up to mischief with the other hand. She has also mastered the art of dropping items and then picking them up while standing.
Dylan’s claim to fame this week is that he can clap his hands together. Emma can’t get that right.
