Kids outside

Last weekend was finally nice and sunny and almost warm. So much so that the kids could play outside. Since they can now walk a bit, Emma allot and Dylan a couple of steps, we let them have fun on the grass on the front lawn. They really did enjoy themselves. They love getting dirty the best and to feel the soil. Both of them developed a keen fondness for the pebbles we have in the garden. See the video below. Emma meticulously took each of an area of pebbles between the sleepers out, one by one and then put them all back again. Dylan on the other hand preferred throwing them. They are very cute outside but unfortunately the weather does not allow for much outside play. This weekend the sun is shining but it is icy cold. It was –3 degrees last night.

Emma’s first real word is “TaTa” which she says whenever you wave goodbye to her. She seems to know what it means too and will wave at you to say goodbye and then carry on with what she was doing, or fall asleep if she is in her bed. The kids are sleeping longer now and tend to only wake up between 6:00 and 6:30 in the morning. They are still going to bed at about 19:00. They wake up in the middle of the night when they have kicked off their blankets and are freezing. They are still not very good with keeping under their blankets.

Stats when the kids were weighed today:

Dylan: 11.821 kg

Emma: 10.830 kg
