This last Friday the kids turned 1 and half years old. They have changed a lot since a year ago when they both had no hair and couldn’t go anywhere. These days they are much more integrated into our household and follow us around and know all the household routines. They are also starting to interact better with the cats and Casper and Angel on occasionally will allow themselves to be patted by the kids. The kids can now also keep themselves amused for longer periods.
Last week we finally got to try out the pool again. I had the whole pool redone over the winter. It is now a fibreglass pool. Unfortunately it is very slippery and we are still trying to get someone in to roughen up the stairs as they are dangerously smooth, especially with the kids. We have also had a lot of trouble trying to find suitable swim gear for the kids in their size. They have outgrown last years swimming gear. After a couple of failed pool equipment purchases we finally found a new tube which is similar to the one they had last year, only supports their heavier weight and then we finally found some life vests. They are great. However they have this chin support which is meant to keep the child’s head up, but we found Dylan got a bit strangled by it so we won’t use it again. We still need to buy a second tube so that both kids can paddle around by themselves together. As you can see from the pictures they had a whale of a time.
Stats nothing much has changed:
Emma: 11.770kg
Dylan: 12.540kg
