The kids are getting ever more capable and mobile. Emma’s vocabulary increases every day as she wants you to tell her what everything around her is called. There is little progress in their own speech though. Dylan latest is that he now says “dah” when he wants you to take something or if he is finished with his bottle.
Both Emma and Dylan now run around a lot. They even run in very small spaces. They love to run. They tend to run on their toes. They are a lot more stable and don’t fall over everything anymore and also find their way around obstacles rather than falling all over them. They have endless energy to run up and down the passage or their play area over and over and over.
Emma is the absolute expert at putting her Fisher Price rings together. She now knows the exact order that they need to go, but will take an incorrect ring and pretend to put it on and then as she is about to let go of it, she takes it off again. It is just too cute. She is always very pleased with herself when she completes all the rings and does a nice round of clapping, self applause.
Last week they had their first summer’s cold. Both went to the paediatrician on Tuesday to get their own nose sprays and some powder that they must take with their dinner. Originally we tried to feed them the powder in some milk but they did not like that. Now we simply mix it into one of their yogurts. They don’t mind that. Dylan hated his nose spray initially but after Anina did many demonstrations on Tigger, his favourite toy, taking his nose spray with a “smile” he caught on and now is eager to get his nose spray too.
Stats update:(we have not measured their length but are sure that they have grown a lot)
Emma: 11.860 kg
Dylan: 12.570 kg
