2 days short of 11 months

Today I have loaded many of the pictures that we have taken of the kids in the last month. It has been pretty busy with the Easter holidays so there has been little time for blog updates. Our nephew Henk came to visit for the last week as he had Easter holidays from his Engineering studies at the University of Pretoria.

Emma and Dylan continue to grow at a tremendous rate. They are a bit between sizes and between seasons at the moment which makes clothing them somewhat difficult. They are too big for most of the 6 to 12 months clothes but the 12 – 18 months cloths don’t fit them yet. The change to warmer clothing is also proving a little complicated. All their warm clothing from last season does not fit them anymore for obvious reasons.

We bought them a new MacLaren side by side pram. We still have our original Jané pram but felt we needed a smaller model to be able to travel better. The new one is still quite long when folded up but is not nearly as big and is a lot lighter. On the down side it only just fits through our doorways and we have not tried shopping with it yet. The kids really like it though, as they can both see well and they can pat each other while on an outing. The ride is not nearly as comfortable as with their Jané pram. Both prams serve different needs though.

We also bought them a plastic play pen. This has also turned out to be very useful. It is very quick to erect and can be used indoors and outdoors. They love the built in toys as well as the telephone headset toy without a cord. Emma likes to toss the headset out of the play area.

Stats updates:

Emma: 9.665 kg

Dylan: 11.345 kg
